Aluminium Windows
The SUNFLEX UK Slim And Flush (SAF) window system combines modern styling with advanced performance and stylish finishing touches.
The ultra-slim frames and premium quality of the SAF windows make them ideally suited for a wide range of projects, whether you are replacing existing windows, carrying out an extension or renovation or building a completely new home.
Every SAF window is custom-made by SUNFLEX UK fabricators to your exact requirements and can be designed to incorporate top-hung, side-hung or tilt and turn sashes alongside fixed frames. The versatility of the system means it can also be utilised for large picture windows, angled gable glazing, fixed over lights and even ultra-stylish frameless glass-to-glass corners.
The slender aluminium profile of the SAF window is square-edged on both the inside and outside of the frame, finishing flush with the outer-frame to provide the much sought-after contemporary look.

The SUNFLEX UK SAF window is the epitome of modern design, featuring stylish square-edged aluminium profiles that sit neatly and flush with the outer frames when the window is closed.
The high performance SAF system is manufactured with slim, thermally broken aluminium profile to maximise the amount of glass and make the most of the views out. The SAF window is available with either double or triple glazing in a huge range of styles to perfectly match the requirements of your home.

Designed to match the look of our award-winning sliding and bifold doors, the SAF window system features square-edged frames on both inside and outside of the window to create a striking, contemporary appearance.

Thanks to its advanced design the SAF window is able to combine its contemporary looks with Building Regulations Part L compliant thermal efficiency and advanced weather
performance standards.
Between the internal and external aluminium frames a large polyamide thermal break limits the heat loss – helping keep heat inside the room to keep your heating bills down and making the room feel warmer. With double glazing the SAF window is capable of achieving a U-value from just 1.4W/m2K whilst with triple glazing the window can achieve highly impressive performance with U-values from just 1.0/Wm2K†.
†The overall U-value achievable by the system is dependent on glass specification.

The windows hold the BSI Kitemark™ certificate and the latest in independent PAS 24:2022 security testing alongside the prestigious Secured by Design™ award, ensuring the system can be incorporated into the design of a wide range of projects, from replacement windows and period property renovations, to stylish inner-city extensions and ultra-modern new homes*.
*To meet the requirements of Building Regulations Document Q windows may need to be installed with Class P1a glass (usually laminated glass), depending on the location of the window within the new-build house.

The square-edged frame of the system perfectly lends itself in accompanying our award-winning ultra-slim sliding doors and high performance SF75eco bifold doors – whether that’s as eye-catching gable glazing above the doors or as fixed frames alongside the doors – enabling you to combine products to create a continuous and consistent overall glazing solution.

For those looking at alternatives to traditional steel windows and doors, the SAF window system can be manufactured with horizontal bars across the glass to match the appearance of Art Deco style steel windows.
The advanced SAF window combines the look of period style with the latest in modern thermal efficiency, weather protection and security standards – ideal for those renovating older properties or seeking to add character to newly built extensions or renovations.
KEY FEATURE 8 Stylish handle designs
As the perfect finishing touch the SUNFLEX UK SAF windows are available with stylish handles, available in a choice of finishes.
The contemporary lockable handles are manufactured from solid 316 marine-grade stainless steel ensuring they don’t just look good, they are also built to last. The slender design ensures the handle sits in-line with the frame so as to not obstruct the view out, adding a touch of elegance to the finished look of the window.
The handles are available in black, anthracite grey, brushed stainless steel and brushed brass.

Side hung
Opening out from the side, the handle is usually half way up the window. They feature egress hinges to help escape in an emergency and easy clean hinges to slide the window along when open and clean the outer glass.

Top Hung
Opening out from the bottom with a handle along the bottom, this design can provide wider openings than side hung. Restrictor hinges limit how far the window can open with built in subtle finger latch to allow the window to open further.

Tilt & Turn
Ideal for providing a more modern window appearance, with larger openings than conventional open-out windows. The inward opening tilt-and-turn mechanism is ideal for high-level windows allowing them to be easily cleaned from the inside. Alternatively, the handle can be locked to give a tilt-only operation of the window for ventilation.

Fixed frames
Whether utilised as individual picture window or integrated alongside opening sashes to create a casement window, our fixed frames provide a versatile addition to any window design. To create a seamless design you can even opt for a dummy sash to ensure a consistent design with the opening elements.

Why choose aluminium windows?
Aluminium is the perfect material for manufacturing windows. It is lightweight and yet considerably stronger that other window materials enabling us to create windows with slimmer frames and for larger openings, with narrower frames allowing for larger panes of glasses, maximising the amount of light you let in.
Unlike previous generations of aluminium windows, modern systems are thermally broken which prevents cold-bridging and ensures the systems are capable of advanced thermal performance, with aluminium also offering maintenance-free and recyclable solution, reducing the impact on the environment.
Colour options
We have chosen a selection of the most popular colours for each system to hold in stock. In addition to our standard colours, you can personalise your windows with a choice of more than 200 RAL finishes, and even opt for different colours on the interior and exterior frames of the doors to perfectly match your home.
For the final finishing touch the SAF windows are available with stylish, slim line handles, available in black, anthracite grey, bronze-effect or stainless steel.
Manufactured from solid 316 marine-grade stainless steel the lockable handles provide a premium feel when opening and closing the window.
