The SF80 from SUNFLEX in Germany resets the standard for high-performance aluminium sliding doors, capable of achieving an unrivalled combination of panel size, thermal performance and advanced design.
Sitting alongside our ultra-slim SVG20 and SVG30 systems, the triple glazed SF80 enable SUNFLEX UK to offer a sliding door solution for any size of opening with even the most complex specification requirements.
With panel sizes up to a massive 4 metres tall, narrow 30mm sightlines and Passivhaus standards of thermal efficiency the SF80 redefines the boundaries of what is achievable with a sliding door.
As you would expect of a SUNFLEX door system, the SF80 is engineered to the highest standards of quality, with every door set exclusively manufactured in a SUNFLEX factory by our own fabricators.
KEY FEATURE 1 Advanced thermal performance - 0.8W/m²K
As Building Regulations tighten the requirements for thermal efficiency the SF80 provides sliding door solutions for even new-build Passivhaus standard eco-homes.
The triple glazed, ultra-thermally efficient SF80 can achieve U-values as low as just 0.8W/m²K. Unlike other manufacturers, these figures are achieved for the whole system and not by just including only the visible frame elements.
Just as with the award-winning SF75eco bifold door this performance is possible because of the advanced thermal break technology and engineering of the doors.
KEY FEATURE 2 Slim from any angle - 30mm frames
The SF80 is designed with slender frames with just 30mm visible sightlines that finish flush with the glass – so no need for the ugly reinforcing profile that you see on many aluminium sliding door systems on the market.
Whilst other door systems may appear to offer slim sightlines, the chunky reinforcing profile means that the frames can significantly impact on the view out when looked at from any angle that isn’t straight-on – not something you need to worry about with sliding doors from SUNFLEX UK.
KEY FEATURE 3 Extreme panel sizes - up to 4 metres wide
The giant of sliding door technology, with individual panels up to 4 metres tall and up to a massive 800kg in weight, the SF80 can achieve overall door systems that measure an incredible 24 metres across.
These huge panel sizes, combined with narrow 30mm sightlines make the SF80 perfect for creating almost uninterrupted views out into the garden and for maximising the amount of light you let into your home.
KEY FEATURE 4 Dry-glazed, not bonded
One of the trends in the development of sliding door technology has been the tendency for manufacturers to need to bond the glass to the frame to provide rigidity for the system. The challenge is that should a sealed unit ever break you would need to replace the whole panel (and not just the glass), not only significantly more expensive but also problemmatic if the door system goes out of production over the years.
For this reason the SF80 are dry glazed (held in place by internal glazing beads) rather than being fully bonded, so should you ever need to change the glass you can simply remove the beads and swap out the sealed unit – giving you complete peace of mind now and for decades to come.
KEY FEATURE 5 Flush stacking panels
As with the award-winning SVG20 and SVG30 doors, the SF80 can be designed with an innovative flush stacking detail, where all the panels slide neatly behind the next to create a contemporary appearance when the doors are opened.
Not only does this create aesthetic appeal, it also maximises the space that is provided when the doors are slid back – perfect for breaking down the boundaries between your home and garden.
KEY FEATURE 6 Advanced security
Tested to the advanced RC2 security test, the European equivalent to British PAS 24 testing, and featuring multi-point mushroom lead locks, the SF80 offers complete peace of mind when it comes to security. As with every SUNFLEX door, our sliding doors are fitted with 6-Pin anti-bump, anti-snap, anti-drill key cylinders.
KEY FEATURE 7 Exclusive CUBIC handle design
The new CUBIC handle has been custom designed exclusively for the SF80 sliding doors. CUBIC features a contemporary appearance with square sections, the rotating top section ensures the door always has the same neat look whether open or closed.
The minimalist design ensures the handle sits neatly within the width of the frame, ensuring your attention is drawn to the view beyond the doors rather than the hardware!
