Innovative pocket sliding doors
Aluminium sliding doors that slide into a pocket in the wall to create a totally unobstructed opening are the latest trend for those completing extensions or building contemporary new homes.
The traditional drawback of sliding doors has been that, because the doors slide behind a fixed panel at one (or either) end, you do not get a completely unobstructed opening like you do with bifold doors.
Pocket sliding doors change all of that. With the panels of the doors sliding on an extended track into a pocket on the internal side of the wall, it is possible to create a complete opening that allows you to seamlessly connect your home and garden when the doors are slid into the pocket, while large glass panels and slim aluminium frames remain perfect for letting in light when closed.
An extended track option is available on all of our SVG20, SVG30 or SVG83 aluminium sliding door systems to give you complete flexibility for your project.
