SUNFLEX UK aluminium sliding doors offer a dynamic look to any property, maximising the light entering your room whilst releasing the potential of your view. A sleek sightline of 83mm is offered with the SVG83 and you can upgrade to the NEW ultra-slim SVG30 with an incredibly slim intermediate sightlines of just 30mm.

"The advanced technology of the SVG30 means that unlike other slim-framed sliding doors there is no requirement for large reinforcing profile sections that can extend up to 150mm from the face of the frame – significantly reducing the sightline of the system when viewed from an angle."

Our advanced and highly engineered aluminium sliding doors offer the perfect solution for larger openings in extensions, renovations or new-builds, maximising the amount of glass and breaking down the boundaries between inside and out.

Both the hugely popular SVG83 and SVG30 benefit from the same superior performance, advanced design and exacting manufacturing standards that you would expect from SUNFLEX UK. Our sliding doors offer the ultimate in configuration options, from a single panel sliding on an extended track all the way up to an opening as wide as 24 metres with eight sliding panels - almost anything is possible.

Sliding doors ideally lend themselves to the larger apertures where you can have much larger glazed panels and the frame of the panels overlaps which means the sightlines are smaller than that of bifold doors. This ensures your doors look good open or closed which is ideal for a changeable climate like ours. Sliding doors create that seamless flush floor look but does not reduce the weather rating.

If you have multiple apertures our aluminium folding doors, windows, doors and roofs match in well with these sliding doors each with contemporary square profiles and when ordered at the same time we can help ensure uniformity for your project.

  • Officially tested and certified to ensure they keep out the wind and the rain.
  • One of the most weather tight multi track sliding systems available.
  • Weathering rating varies according to configuration of the system, but these doors are tested to achieve up to: Class 7A, 300Pa water tightness, Class 3, 600Pa air tightness wind Class AE, 2400Pa wind loads.
  • All panels sliding reduces the weather rating which is why we recommend having a fixed panel in your design enabling us to use our colour matched cover plates on the redundant bottom tracks for a neater weather tight detail.
  • Overall frame and glass U-Value from 1.4W/m2K when double glazed
  • 28mm, 30mm, 36mm or 38mm glazing units accommodated. (36mm or 38mm only for the SVG30).
  • Five-point lock including mushroom headed cam locks and an additional centre hook lock providing excellent security.
  • Five-lever Euro profile cylinder complying to British Insurance Standards and BS3621.
  • Internally glazed as standard preventing the glass being easily removed from the outside.
  • If not required ask for no key lock to the outside of the doors. Offers the doors a cleaner look externally and less opportunity for any potential burglar.
  • One piece lock keep provides a neater appearance than conventional individual keeps as well as ensuring trouble free operation.
  • Anti-lift blocks prevents the panels being levered from the tracks making the old security concerns with sliding doors a thing of the past.
  • Full height thermally broken claw lock on each panel at every meeting section ensuring the panels cannot be pulled apart from each other.
  • Toughened glass units used as standard which are hard to smash but can be upgraded to laminate security glass on the outer pane which then achieves PAS24 the requirement for the latest document Q building regulations.
  • Maximise your opening with large panel widths from 800mm up to 3m.
  • Heights from 1.2m sliding windows up to 3.2m giant installations. (Maximum height for the SVG30 is 2800mm).
  • Do not exceed 2500mm in both width and height as the maximum panel weight is 250kg.
  • Bottom track can be recessed in to the floor for a seamless connection between inside and outside. Unlike other systems this flush track does not reduce the weather tightness of the doors.
  • To make it easier for the internal floor to finish flush with the bottom track we supply an internal flush floor detail. Leaving a nice finishing detail for the floor and ensures there is adequate clearance between the sliding panel and the internal floor.
  • A plant on panel attached to the outside of the track can offer a 75% opening when three panels slide behind this on a triple track.
  • When panels are stacked open they can be flush stacking if no external handles are required. We design each panel with a slightly different size to offer this very neat detail.
  • Light weight, smooth and quiet operation with our adjustable double wheel running carriages removing the need for a lift and slide operation which would restrict you to only one sliding panel in one direction.
  • Colour matched trickle vents available which are neatly incorporated within a 42mm add on at the head. These can be opened or closed off offering ventilation only when needed.

Versatile options

  • 100% clear opening with panels sliding on an extended track on the inside of your wall offering the ‘wow factor’ with your doors open or closed. When you are planning a false wall to cover this extended track we can supply a colour matched closing plate to neatly close off the gap between the panels and your false wall.
  • Completely open up the corner of your room to create a unique look to your project. If you can support the roof above we can couple the system together in the corner with our moveable posts usually supplied at 90° but other angles can be accommodated.
  • If your best view is from the corner of the room our sliding doors can be coupled by frameless corners. A unique way to join two sliding door systems together and maximize your view.

The SVG30 and SVG83 are available as standard with a D-shaped handle, colour coded to match the frame of the doors. We also offer a stylish stainless steel feature handle for a modern and contemporary look, or alternatively you can choose a recessed handle that is set into the frame of the doors. If you choose the lift and slide option for your doors they come with a specific colour coded handle that turns to enable the doors to be held in position.

  • SUNFLEX UK RAL Colour Chart

Standard frame colours are RAL 7015 Slate Grey matt, RAL 9011 Graphite Black matt or RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey semi-gloss. With over 200 RAL colours available along with specialist finishes such as textured paint, anodised and wood grain effect. There is the option to choose a different colour outside to inside matching the design of your room and the external character of the property.
  • Marine painting process option. SUNFLEX UK ensures it's sliding door products are given the best possible protection when being installed within 5000m of the coast/tidal estuary or around swimming pool/chemical environment, this is done by pre-fabricating the systems prior to painting, ensuring every cut edge or exposed machined slot or hole is painted to ensure maximum protection, of course a strict cleaning regime is also required to prevent salt build up but no company tries harder to ensure its products will stand up to such a harsh environment.
  • The handle design on other sliding doors sometimes let down the overall look of the product. However at SUNFLEX UK we have sourced a range of options from subtle colour coded D handles designed to blend in to the frame or very modern looking stainless steel handles which become a feature of your doors. These are supplied in straight or cranked designs depending upon the configuration of your doors. There are also colour coded flush handles for a minimalist look.

Both the SVG30 and SVG83 can be manufactured with lift and slide functionality.

  • Having the lift and slide option allows the lead door to be locked in a slightly part open position to provide ventilation without impacting on the super smooth operation of the doors.
  • When further open the lead door can be lowered back down on to the track creating greater resistance and preventing this being easily moved.
  • Only the lead door has the lift and slide operation and handle allowing the excellent flush stacking detail to be an option.
  • The doors share the same highly engineered running gear and track as the standard SVG30 and SVG83 benefiting from exactly the same advanced security, weather protection and thermal performance.
  • A dedicated colour coded handle which turns through 180° to enable the lift and slide of the lead panel.
  • Outer frame of the doors increases from 83mm to 99mm to incorporate the additional functionality of the system. SVG30 sightline remains the slim 30mm.
  • Large panel sizes of up to 3m wide and 2.5m high for narrower panels with a range of configuration options (centrally meeting or moveable corner posts not achievable with lift and slide option).
