An eye-catching North London zinc-clad extension

An eye-catching zinc clad extension, complete with SUNFLEX UK SVG83 sliding doors, has completely transformed this semi-detached four storey home in North London.

The brief for Mulroy Architects was to rejuvenate the traditional brick Victorian home by increasing the amount of light and transforming the functionality of the available space.

The ground floor extension allowed for the creation of a large open-plan kitchen, diner and living space that were flooded with natural light thanks to the two large sets of SUNFLEX UK SVG83 aluminium sliding doors and flat rooflights.

The large sliding doors in Anthracite Grey RAL 7016, combined with a fixed frame glazed panel between break down the boundaries between the house and the garden. When closed the large panes of glass allow natural light into the extension whilst maximising the view out into the garden and the woodlands beyond. When open the flush track and large openings connect the outside and inside of the property almost seamlessly.
