The contemporary, pitched roof extension will house a large open-plan kitchen and living space when completed and the SVG30 doors were at the heart of the design thanks to their narrow sightlines.
A two panel system was chosen to complement the fixed frame gable end glazing above and the supporting structure was clad in aluminium to create a seamless connection.
The SVG30 aluminium sliding doors features ultra-slim 30mm sightlines which not only breakdown the boundaries between the extension and the garden, but also help to fill the living space, both in the extension and the original house, full of natural light all year around.
With no need for large reinforcing profiles found on many other slim-framed sliding doors, the SVG30 looks sleek whichever angle it is viewed from, making the doors ideal for narrower panels under 1.5m wide as well as large panes of glass up to 3m wide.
Speaking after completing the installation Simon Hunter, Managing Director of Ultimate Glazing Solutions said "Everything went really smoothly with the installation and you could really tell there had been a lot of thought and attention to detail put into the design of the system. The end-client was thrilled with how the doors looked and how smooth they were to operate and the finished project is going to look absolutely fantastic."
