Over the last four weeks our manufacturing and logistics staff have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare our factory and despatch hubs to allow our staff to safely return to work.
With the update in advice from Government on Sunday evening we have now put those plans into action and it is our aim to be operating at as normal levels of production as quickly as possible.
The layout of our factory has leant itself to relatively easily to social distancing, with individual work-bays that are already separated from each other and a clear flow of products from our Goods In area where we receive raw-materials through the length of our factory to our dedicated despatch hub.
Speaking of the return to work Will Mitchell, SUNFLEX Trade Account Manager, said "There has been a lot of effort that has been undertaken to get us to this position and we are grateful to our staff for working so hard to give us this opportunity. Our office based staff have been able to continue to work remotely during lockdown and we have been in regular contact with our trade distributors to advise them on lead-times, delivery options and product availability."
"The next steps for us to prioritise the most urgent jobs because we understand that there will have been disruption to almost every project, so understanding where those builds are and when our systems will likely be required will enable us to plan a schedule to meet demand."
"We will continue to be mindful of advice and to adhere to best practice to protect our staff, our customers and the wider general public, but we are confident with the work that has gone on we are in a good position to be able to operate safely."
