Standard colours for SVG sliding doors updated

We have listened to the demand from our customers and made a couple of changes to the standard colours we make our sliding doors available in.

The trend that we have been monitoring for a while, backed up by feedback from our trade partners and ultimately demand from end-users, has been the increased demand for matt finishes. With this in mind we have added RAL 7015 Slate Grey in a matt finish to our range of standard colours for the SVG30 and SVG83 sliding doors as well as our windows and glass roof products.

Slate Grey offers a contemporary choice for customers, making it ideal for modern extensions and self-builds, whilst also adding style to renovations and refurbished properties.

The other change to our standard colours for sliding doors, windows and roofing products is the removal of RAL 9016 Traffic White semi-gloss as an option, with the colour seemingly falling out of favour with homeowners and specifiers. The systems will still be available in RAL 9016 if required, although they will now be classed as an optional colour choice.

The standard colours for SVG sliding doors are as follows:
- RAL 7015 Slate Grey matt
- RAL 9011 Graphite Black matt
- RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey semi-gloss

The standard colours for SUNFLEX aluminium bifold doors remain unchanged:
- RAL 9006 White Aluminium semi-gloss
- RAL 9007 Grey Aluminium semi-gloss
- RAL 9016 Traffic White semi-gloss
- RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey semi-gloss
- Anodised Silver

The standard colours for SAL & SEF aluminium windows are as follows:
- RAL 9011 Graphite Black matt
- RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey semi-gloss

Speaking of changes Will Mitchell, SUNFLEX UK Trade Account Manager, said "We have listened to the feedback from the market and updated our colours for sliding doors as a result. We have seen for nearly twenty years how colours become fashionable and this is just another evolution in demand from end-users, architects and developers."

"What has also been noticeable over the last 18 months especially is the trend towards bright, vibrant colours for systems, providing a real focal-point for designs of extensions, renovations and new-builds. We will continue to monitor the demand and feedback from our customers and constantly review the colours that we make available as standard options."
