The SUNFLEX range of SF55c and SF75c timber clad aluminium bifold doors provides the perfect combination of aesthetic appeal and performance, matching the natural beauty of wood on the internal face of the door with maintenance-free aluminium on the outside.
By including timber cladding on the inside of the door, SUNFLEX doors benefit from a much slimmer design all round than timber doors with aluminium cladding on the outside.
Manufactured with the same innovative features and benefits as the award-winning aluminium bifold doors – plus timber choices and finishes to match the inside of your home – the SUNFLEX timber clad bifold doors are ideal for more traditional properties or for adding character to new build homes.

SF55c
Our best-selling timber clad bifold door, the SF55c features the narrowest sightlines (117mm) of any bifold door of its type and is double glazed as standard.
The system can be configured in an almost infinite range of designs and features discreet hinges, in-line handles and slender 70mm frame depths to ensure the ultimate appearance.

The most thermally efficient timber-clad aluminium bifold door available.
Manufactured with the same sightlines and unique features as the SF55c, the SF75c is triple glazed as standard and achieves U-values from just 0.8W/m²K† thanks to its patented 44mm multi-chambered thermal break – making it suitable for Passivhaus standard builds.

Why choose a timber clad system?
Ideal for renovations, extensions or new build homes with internal timber beams or structure, the timber clad aluminium bifold doors combine the performance of an aluminium system with the internal appearance of natural wood. With no external facing timber, you do not need to maintain the frames of the composite bifold doors as you would with a solid timber system. The aluminium frames can be made significantly narrower than traditional wooden doors, allowing you to maximise the amount of glass in your doors to make the most of the view or to draw light into your home.

Threshold options
Our SUNFLEX bifold doors are available with a choice of two threshold options.
Our single rebated low threshold is ideal for creating a level transition between your home and patio or decking, featuring a 14mm upstand that is classed as an accessible threshold and meets the requirements of Building Regulations M.
Our double rebated weathered threshold features a 35mm upstand against the frames of the doors seal, providing the most comprehensive weather performance. Available with or without a sill.

External colour options
We have chosen a selection of the 5 popular colours for the external aluminium frames. In addition to these standard colours you can personalise your doors with a choice of more than 200 RAL finishes.
Internal timber choices
Shaped from real wood, the internal timber cladding on our SF55c and SF75c bifold doors is available as standard in a choice of Nordic Pine (softwood) or Meranti (hardwood). Alternatively you can upgrade to American White Oak.
Timber stains and finishes
The internal timber cladding is supplied fully finished with a Sikkens timber stain or painted to a RAL colour to enable you to match the frames of the doors to the internal finishes of your home. Alternatively for American White Oak timber, Tung oil can be used to bring out the natural beauty of the grain.
